Over the last 20 years, Music Theatre majors have had the opportunity
to work with Joseph Papp, Roger Rees, Jose Quintero,
Ann Reinking, Davis Gaines, Dave Clemmons, Urban
Bush Women, and the Garth Fagan Dance Company. In 1997,
the first revival of the musical Greenwillow was produced at
FSU with the cooperation of Jo Sullivan Loesser, and in 1999,
the premiere of Say, Young Man of Manhattan: The Songs of Vincent
Youmans was created by Alumni Laine Munro and Aaron Gandy.
With the already established Hoffman Scholar Chair in Theatre and
the new Marcus Bailey and Betty Graves Sheffer Eminent Scholar Chair
in Music Theatre, the Music Theatre program at FSU will continue to
gain new opportunities to enrich the training and experiences of all
current and future students.
